CHURCH BASED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
In our generation God has blessed His work and multitudes have been won to Christ and thousands of churches have been planted. Campus Crusade for Christ reported few years ago that over 4 billion people have seen the Jesus film with 108 known decisions for Christ. This is great but on the other hand some statistics show that churches die out almost as quickly as they are born. Evangelism without serious effort to develop, sustain and expand spiritual leaders means that much of the ministry resources are not used efficiently. At the beginning of 2007, Romania was accepted as member of European Union. That opened the borders of our country and over two million Romanians left Romania and work now in the western European countries for better salaries. This movement left Romanian churches without some of their leaders, so it is time a major need to raise a new generation of leaders.
These are some of the reasons that lead us at MLI to start a new project under the ministry of MLI, which is Church Based Leadership Development. We arrived at the conclusion that Romania needs mature spiritual leaders for churches that exist and are being planted. Myself and some other Romanian pastors are involved in this project. We work very close with the local pastors and leaders in finding and training the potential new leaders in those areas.
THE NEED
- A new generation of leaders having a new mentality!
- New churches that have been planted need more leaders.
THE STRATEGY – Multiplication
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others” II Timothy 2:2
- Jesus used it and Paul used it
- The responsibility is wisely divided between many.
- The number of people trained is growing in progression.
GOALS:
- Help people to grow in spiritual maturity
- Grow new church leaders
- Better follower of the Lord and better servants
- Bring glory to God
